Here at Aquablock, we are always coming up with new and efficient waysto save you money and save our most precious natural resource - WATER.

Tips on how to save money on your water bill.

  • The Shower - Take a short shower... save water and power. If you want a long soak, a bath can be fun...and it uses less water than a long shower, which can use over 200 litres. Install a water-saver shower head...cut down the flow.
  • The Toilet - Most toilets use 12 litres per flush. Install a dual flush toilet... a half flush will do most of the time.
  • Running Taps - A tap left running while brushing your teeth wastes 5 litres. Put the plug in when shaving, rinsing dishes or washing vegetables.
  • Washing Clothes & Dishes - Wait for a full load. Washing machines use about 150 litres, and dishwashers use 50 litres for every wash.
  • Watering your Plants - A good soak twice a week is all your garden needs. Install a drip system... use your timer...a forgotten sprinkler wastes about 1000 litres an hour.
  • Washing the Car - A bucket of soapy water is a all the car needs, then give is a quick rinse with the hose
  • Cleaning Paths - Cleaning paths with a broom is better than using a hose, which uses 20 litres a minute.
  • Summer Fun - 5 minutes playing with the hose uses 100 litres.
  • Dripping Taps - Drips and leaks waste heaps of water. A tap that drips once every second, wastes 30 litres a day
